Not much of a pier this one, the original one (which once measured 227m) having decayed so much it was pulled down in 2018. This modest little chap was erected in 2021, incorporating some of the balustrades suitable restored.
For no other reason, other than I am a slightly odd eccentric who likes both piers and ice cream, I decided some years ago I would attempt to to eat an ice-cream on every surviving UK pleasure pier. I don't suppose by any stretch of the imagination those few remaining piers in Scotland could even remotely be described as "pleasure piers". But, hey, it is my blog and these are the closest we have up here.
